CRANSTON, RI – A car fatally struck a 58-year-old bicyclist in southeast Providence County Monday night, reports 10 WJAR.
The collision occurred just east of I-95 in the area of Wellington Avenue and Well Avenue in Cranston.
Police say that a car driven by 21-year-old Kelvin Santana struck Michael Ouellet as he was walking his mountain bike along Wellington Avenue.
Santana did not stop initially to render aid but did return to the scene to speak with police.
Ouellet died after transport to an area hospital.
