ATTLEBORO, MA – A dog died, and a man suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle wreck early Sunday on Washington Street in Attleboro, reports NBC 10 News.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene near Angeline Street shortly after 12 a.m. Officials say the vehicle in question had slammed into a nearby retaining wall.
First responders found the driver unresponsive in the wrecked car. They also found the dog dead inside the vehicle.
Crews began to administer life-saving treatment to the man at the scene and later took him to a hospital for urgent care.
Authorities report that the car showed heavy damage to its front end. Investigators have not yet said what led to the collision.
