EAST PROVIDENCE, RI – According to WJAR, a driver lost his life in a single-vehicle collision on I-195 near the East Shore Expy Sunday.
Zaid Lara Romero, 18, was driving a Honda sedan when he lost control of the vehicle during heavy rain around 2:20 a.m.
Romero hit a large rock on the right side of the road before striking a high-speed barrier.
Rescue crews extricated Romero from the Honda and transported him to an area hospital, where he died.
