ATTLEBORO, MA – A Staughton man was killed and his passenger was seriously injured after a fiery car crash in Attleboro on Friday.
According to WPRI, responders arrived to the scene at South Avenue and West Street to where a Buick Grand National driven by Terrance Elder had struck a tree and caught fire.
The unnamed 30-year-old male in the passenger seat had been removed from the vehicle by bystanders. Responders transported him to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Elder was pronounced dead at the scene. He had been the respected owner of the Triple Play Car Wash in Attleboro.
Investigators believe that speed played a prominent role in the crash, though the investigation has not yet concluded that to be the case.
