PROVIDENCE, RI – A child was sent to the hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Providence’s Elmwood neighborhood on Thursday.
According to WJAR, the incident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of Thurbers Avenue and Broad Street.
The victim was transported to Hasbro Children’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with officers. The circumstances leading up to the crash are unclear at this time.
