TAUNTON MA – Police responded to reports of a serious two car accident late Wednesday night, ABC6 reports.
One driver, a 44-year-old woman, was seriously injured. She was then airlifted from BJ’s parking lot to a local hospital for further treatment. The other driver involved, a 60-year-old man, did not retain serious injuries and was treated on scene.
WBSM reported the vehicles crashed at the intersection of Robert Treat Paine Drive and John Quincy Adams road, near the Myles Standish Industrial Park. Further investigation revealed one car rolled over at the scene. The other vehicle sustained severe front-end damage and the air bags deployed.
John Quincy Adams road was blocked off by nine police cars as the accident was cleared. The accident reconstruction team continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
There are no updates to the drivers condition or cause of the wreck at this time.
