HOPKINTON, RI ā A 20-year-old man was airlifted to Rhode Island Hospital after crashing his black car into a tree in Hopkinton.
The collision happened on Thursday on Route 216 in the Ashaway community, WJAR10News said. Police said they saw the 20-year-old man driving at a high rate of speed on the highway.

The driver suffered serious injuries as a result.
