Somerset motorcyclist killed in Route 6 collision with dump truck

SWANSEA, MA – A 67-year-old motorcyclist died Friday morning after colliding with a dump truck on Route 6, reports 7 News WHDH.

Reports indicate that the crash happened at about 8:20 a.m. in Swansea. Emergency crews responding to the scene found the motorcyclist, identified as Alan Scott of Somerset, suffering from life-threatening injuries.

First responders transported Scott to a local medical center, where he was later declared dead of his injuries.

There were no reported injuries to the driver of the dump truck.

Authorities continue to examine what led to the collision.
