CRANSTON, RI – A vehicle struck a teen girl Tuesday afternoon at a northeast Cranston intersection, reports 10 WJAR.
Around 2:30 p.m., crews responded to an auto-pedestrian crash at the intersection of Pontiac Avenue and Beckwith Street, which is just southwest of William R Dutemple School.
Police say that a northbound vehicle struck the 17-year-old pedestrian.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and did not require hospitalization.
The driver involved in the crash stopped to render aid and to speak with authorities.
It’s unclear if the driver or the pedestrian had the right-of-way at the time of the accident.
A full investigation is underway.
