PROVIDENCE, RI – A woman was hospitalized Tuesday following an auto-pedestrian crash at a busy intersection in northwest Providence, reports WPRI 12 News.
Around 1:45 p.m., EMS and police responded to an injury crash at Branch Avenue and Veazie Street, which is just north of E-Cubed Academy and southeast of Whipples Pond.
It’s not yet clear if the victim was walking in or near a crosswalk at the time of the collision.
Medics transported the pedestrian to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
The driver involved in the collision stopped to render aid and to speak with authorities.
A full investigation is underway.
