CRANSTON, RI – A Utica woman died Sunday when a vehicle struck her along a busy roadway in southeast Providence County, reports 10 WJAR.
The accident occurred early in the morning on Scituate Avenue in Cranston. Police haven’t yet provided a cross street for the crash.
It’s not yet clear if the victim was utilizing a designated crosswalk when the vehicle hit her.
Authorities identified the victim as Vaune Vacarro, 56.
The driver, who has since been identified as Richard D’Amico, may face charges in connection to the crash.
A full investigation is underway.
