FALL RIVER, MA – Police responded to a fatal bicycle accident in central Fall River on Sunday evening, reports WHDH 7 News Boston.
The crash occurred around 5:15 p.m. on Stafford Road south of Plymouth Avenue, or MA-81. This is just southeast of Saint Anne’s Hospital.
The preliminary investigation indicates that a Subaru Legacy struck a 34-year-old cyclist along Stafford Road. The Subaru then became involved in a crash with another vehicle. The driver of the Subaru did not remain at the scene.
The cyclist died at an area hospital. Authorities identified him as Jordyn Lyttle of Fall River.
It’s unclear if the driver of the second vehicle sustained injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
