Cement truck and car collide at Main and Village, injuring 1

MILLIS, MA – Emergency teams were called to an injury accident involving two vehicles in west-central Norfolk County on Thursday afternoon, reports WCVB 5.

The collision occurred around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street, or MA-109, and Village Street in the city of Millis. This is approximately 32 miles northeast of Providence, Rhode Island.

Police say that for unknown reasons, a sedan and cement truck collided in the intersection. The impact of the crash caused the truck to roll onto its side. Photos taken at the scene depict a red car with substantial front-end damage.

One person from the sedan went to the hospital via air ambulance for treatment of serious injuries.

The driver of the cement truck was not hurt in the accident.

A full investigation is underway.
