Crash on Rte 24 in Fall River kills New Bedford motorcyclist

FALL RIVER, MA – A motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries last Tuesday night in an accident along the highway southwest Bristol County, reports WPRI 12.

Shortly after 10 p.m., emergency crews responded to a solo crash on Route 24 near Exit 2 in Fall River, just north of South Watuppa Pond. This is not far from the Massachusetts and Rhode Island state lines.

Police say that for unknown reasons, a New Bedford motorcyclist lost control of his bike, left the highway, and crashed.

The biker, identified as 51-year-old Scott Langlois, died after transport to an area hospital.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
