FAIRHAVEN, MA – A 17-year-old girl lost her life, and a man and woman in their 20s were injured as a result of a multi-vehicle crash that happened over the Fourth of July weekend.
According to WJAR News 10, on Saturday, the teenage girl was driving a Nissan Sentra sedan when she collided with a Ford F-250 pickup truck at the intersection of Route 6 and Jeannette Street. Moments later, another pickup truck, a Dodge Ram 1500, had crashed into one or both of the vehicles.
The teenage girl succumbed to her injuries at the scene, while the Ford F-250 occupants, the man and woman in their 20s, were hospitalized for minor injuries.
The two Dodge Ram occupants were unharmed.
The Dodge Ram 1500 pickup sustained minor front-end damage, and the Ford F-250 sustained heavy damage.
Lane closures were enacted. The area has reopened since.
