PROVIDENCE, RI – A Providence woman was sentenced to eight years in prison after causing an I-95 crash while driving under the influence in 2017.
WJAR News Channel 10 confirmed the prison sentence on Friday, Feb. 21 and also said she will be allotted 15 years of probation and has officially had her license revoked. Back in December, the Providence woman was “guilty of one count of driving while under the influence resulting in death and one count of driving to endanger resulting in death.”
The local woman, identified as Yiranis Liz, was said to have struck a 38-year-old woman while she was standing outside her car.
The 38-year-old woman’s car was said to have broken when Liz hit it. The 38-year-old woman, identified as Andrea Bosworth, perished at the scene.
