Prison transport van crash in Cranston sends 6 to hospital 

CRANSTON, RI – Six prisoners from the Rhode Island Department of Corrections High-Security Center were hospitalized after the transport van they were in was involved in a crash Sunday.

Turnto10 said this collision happened on New London Avenue just before the Rhode Island Department of Corrections Anthony P. Travisono Intake Service Center.

The prisoners were on their way back to maximum security when this crash happened. Cranston police did not comment on the events that led to this collision but said all prisoners on that transport van were taken to Rhode Island Hospital for evaluation.
