WESTERLY, RI – An 8-year-old girl running after a cat on Bradford Road had to go to the hospital for minor injuries after she was struck by a car last Thursday.
Westerly police told WPRI that the child’s mother also ran after her, and the driver attempted to stop but did not in time.
No charges or citations will appear to surface, as the driver was not deemed at fault, according to police.
